Fond Farewell

Goodbyes are hard. Especially when they’re hard to come by! I’ll never forget David greeting Kim for the first time after 13 long years. This goodbye captures nearly the same feeling. We miss you, Wuestehubes! And hope it won’t be too long before we see you again!

Thor’s birthday

For Thor’s birthday we went to Snowbird resort and played all day outside in the mountains--on the alpine slide, zip line, hiking through snow, and generally enjoying the fresh air and scenery. It was super sad that Thor was too lightweight to ride the zip line, but he had a fun time on the alpine slide, so that was good. All in all it was a great time.

Definitely a highly-anticipated event was having David’s sister Kim and her husband Gunnar and son Thor come to visit. It was so wonderful having them here! Here we are visiting temple square.

Lily explosion

The day lilies in our front yard truly exploded this year. We planted just a few of them when we first moved in, but they multiply every year. Those are the hostas we planted our first year in the front with their bluish flowers. It’s so nice to finally have those giant spaces filled in!

Zucchini in a pot

It’s an experiment. I’m trying zucchini, yellow crooknet squash, and two kinds of potatoes in pots. We’ll see if it works! You can see one little zucchini growing there. So far so good!
